In 1988, Minos Kyriakou the radio station ANT1 FM 97.2 in Athens. Quick was this within the transmission range to one of the most listened to stations. To extend the transmission range, they founded a few months later, the offshoot ANT1 FM with a studio in Thessaloniki in northern Greece also to present themselves to 97.5. Due to this success, we ventured out a year later to the implementation of a television station and established it with the name ANT1 TV as a second commercial broadcaster in Greece's television landscape.

Ant1 TV became the flagship of the company and one of the most popular television station in Greece. In 1993, the group, ANT1 TV Cyprus in Nicosia and was henceforth also the Cypriot television landscape. With ANT1 FM Cyprus has now also has its own radio station on the island.

Some years later it was decided to also far beyond the Greek -speaking world out to create the opportunity to see Ant1 TV. In order to meet the relevant market accessible, you created the programs, ANT1 Europe for the European region, ANT1 Pacific for the area, especially in and around Australia and ANT1 Satellite for North America. As this branch of the transmitter has been successfully accepted by Phil Hellenes, the Antenna Group, two other stations placed for the U.S.. In 2000 we took the next step and founded Nova Television in Sofia, a television station should continue the success story in Bulgaria. The transmitter was accepted by the local audience and could be sold with a sum of € 628 million in 2008 to the Modern Times Group. A deal is considered one of the most expensive acquisitions in the European media industry.
