Antal Megyerdi

Antal Megyerdi ( born December 5, 1939 in Budapest) is a Hungarian cyclist.

Sports career

Megyerdi was in the Hungarian State Amateur Cycling Federation. Already at age 20 won the Tour of Slovakia in 1960, but was already a year earlier in the squad of the Hungarian national team for the International Peace Race. In this biggest amateur stage race in the 1.69 m wide Megyerdi on his debut 75th among 92 participants was evaluated. Until 1969 he was with the exception of 1967 in any peace trips here, his most successful tours of ten was in 1966, when he was eighth after a stage win at the end. In 1962 he was at the amateur world championship road driver in Italy ninth, at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo in the 47th A Road driving.
