Ante Milicic

Ante Milicic ( born April 4, 1974 in Sydney ) is an Australian football player Croatian origin, who is on the position of the striker at the Malaysian Association Shahzan Muda FC since 2007 under contract. He was also a national team of his country.

Career

After successful completion of the Australian Institute of Sport Milicic played from 1992 at Sydney Croatia in the National Soccer League ( NSL). A year later he moved to Canberra Deakin, before he returned to Croatia in the same year, which has now been renamed the Sydney United. Here he was active from 1993 to 1997 and scored 39 goals in 114 league games.

In 1997 his first professional station in Europe, he signed a contract with Dutch club NAC Breda. In 1999 he moved to Croatia for NK Rijeka, in the summer of 2001 he returned to Sydney United. In the following three years Milicic played at Sydney Olympic, with whom he was 2002 champion, and the Joe Marston Medal was awarded as the best player of the finals, and Parramatta Power in Australia and Malaysia in Pahang FA. After the 2003/ 04 season, he became an Australian scorer and Australia's Footballer of the Year. 2004 followed by a new commitment at Sydney United.

With the Australian national Milicic won the 2004 Oceanian Football Championship by 5:1 - and 6:0 - final victory against the Solomon Islands. In total he played between 2002 and 2005 six caps, scoring five goals.

In 2005, he played for the Newcastle United Jets in the newly created national professional league, the A-League, Milicic was the first player scoring a hat -trick in the A-League: November 4, 2005, he scored three goals in a game against New Zealand Knights. 2006 to 2008 he played for Queensland Roar. In 2008 he moved to Shahzan Muda in Malaysia.

In 2009 he was player-coach at Sydney United and led the club to the championship in the New South Wales Premier League.

From 2010 to 2012, he was an assistant coach at the A-League franchise Melbourne Heart. In 2012 he took over the same role in the newly established franchise Western Sydney Wanderers FC
