Antennas to Hell is a best of album from the U.S. alternative metal band Slipknot. It contains pieces from the first four studio albums of the band, as well as some bonus tracks.

Genesis

On 24 May 2010 died suddenly Slipknot bassist Paul Gray. The cause is an overdose of fentanyl was found in combination with morphine. Then, the remaining band members wanted to pause for at least two years. However, Slipknot returned in early 2011 and announced to go on tour. The band was, inter alia, Headline the Sonisphere festival in Athens. On bass ex-member Donnie Steele filled in for Gray, who founded the band with him. In 2012, the band also announced a new album. However, there were discrepancies when the work should begin. So Corey Taylor commented that he was not ready for it would record a new album. Joey Jordison, however, said that they would begin either with or without Taylor in the album works.

29 May 2012 Slipknot presented a video entitled Antennas to Hell on the YouTube channel of the tape, which shows excerpts of performances in which only DJ Sid Wilson is seen. More Videos with all members including Paul Gray followed. In the video description in each July 24 was reported as of publication date. The fact that it is a best of in Antennas to Hell, but was only confirmed on 11 June on the official website of the band.

Versions

In addition to the standard edition, which contains 19 songs, a box set was released that in addition a CD of a live recording from the Download Festival 2009 includes. The performance was released in 2010 as a DVD under the name of (sic) nesses and represents one of the last performances with Paul Gray there. Also, included on the are all music videos to DVD.
