Anthony Bottom

Jalil Abdul Muntaqim ( born October 18, 1951 in Oakland as Anthony Bottom) is a former member of both the Black Panther Party (BPP ) and Black Liberation Army ( BLA).

Life

In his youth, he worked at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, demonstrated against police violence and was involved in underground activities.

On 21 May 1971 he was arrested in California along with Albert " Nuh " Washington and Herman Bell and convicted for the murder of two New York Police officers. 1974 Muntaqim received a prison sentence of 25 years. He is currently in the Attica Correctional Facility in Attica, New York.

His case is highly controversial in the United States.
