Anthony Charteau
Anthony Charteau ( born June 4, 1979 in Nantes ) is a French cyclist.
Career
Anthony Charteau began his professional career in 2001 with the French cycling team Bonjour. He has developed his career in a good all-rounder with a tendency for climbers.
In 2003, he won the one-day races Classique Loire -Atlantique. The sponsor of the team was now brioches La boulangère. In 2004 he first took part in the Tour de France and finished it on the 103 overall.
As of 2005, the team of Jean -René Bernaudeau went under the name of Bouygues Télécom. He won at the Tour of Catalonia a stage and thus crowned one of his numerous breakaways with the only ProTour success of his team this year.
From 2006 to 2007 Charteau drove in the French ProTour team Crédit Agricole. In 2006, he again took part in the Tour de France. Shortly thereafter, he triumphed at the Polynormande. In 2007, he won a mountain stage of the Tour de Langkawi for themselves and took over the possibility the yellow jersey of the overall leader after a long flight. In the 2010 Tour de France since returned to his old team Bbox Bouygues Télécom he picked up on the 9th stage the mountain jersey in the Tour de France by Jerome Pineau. He lost it on the 10th stage again, but it could be repeated on the 12th stage. And by the end of the tour he was able to defend this jersey.
End of the 2013 season he will end his career as a professional cyclist.
