Anthony Gobert
Anthony Gobert ( born March 5, 1975 in Greenacre, Strathfield Municipality, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian motorcycle racer.
Career
Anthony Gobert proved himself as a permanent talent in motorcycle racing that never really was able to celebrate successes. His fourth overall in the Superbike World Championship in 1995 with two victories in his native Australia ( Phillip Iceland ) and Laguna Seca followed a promising Superbike season 1996 with a further three GP successes (this time again Laguna Seca and both runs in Philip Iceland ) alone prevented an injury better placement than the eighth place overall. The two-time change in the motorcycle world championship brought only meager results; he could prove his skills in the U.S. and the Australian Superbike Championship.
