Anthony Knockaert

Anthony Knockaert (* November 20, 1991 in Roubaix ) is a French football player. He is since 2012 the English second division Leicester City under contract.

EA Guingamp

Anthony Knockaert started his professional career in the 2010/11 season in the French third division side Guingamp. He played in his debut season twenty-four league games ( two goals ) and reached with his team in third place promotion to the second division. The Ligue 2 2011/12 ended the Movers & Shakers in seventh place in the standings. Knockaert could be distinguished with eleven league matches as the top scorer of his team.

Leicester City

On August 8, 2012, the 20 -year-old Knockaert moved to the English second division Leicester City and signed a three-year contract. In the Football League Championship 2012/13, the young Frenchman needed little adjustment period and scored eight league goals. On the final day of the regular season, he scored in stoppage time 3-2 winning goal at Nottingham Forest, Leicester secured a place in the play-offs. In the semifinals of the playoffs, he became the tragic hero, as he at Watford FC in the 97th minute missed a penalty in the second leg and Watford, in turn, scored the 3-1 winning goal that brought you to the finals.

French National Team

The Knockaert previously used already in the U -20 team debuted on September 10, 2012 in the French U-21 national team in a 4-0 home win over Chile and also scoring his first goal for the U- 21st
