Anthony Mancini

Anthony Mancini KGOHS ( born November 27, 1945 in Mignano Monte Lungo ) is Archbishop of Halifax- Yarmouth.

Life

Anthony Mancini received on 23 May 1970, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 18 February 1999 in Montréal and appointed him Titular Bishop of Natchitoches. The Archbishop of Montreal, Cardinal Jean- Claude Turcotte, gave him on 25 March of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Montreal Jew Saint -Antoine and André Rivest.

On 18 October 2007 he was appointed Archbishop of Halifax and Apostolic Administrator of Yarmouth and introduced on 29 November of the same year in the office as Archbishop of Halifax. On September 26, 2009 he was appointed Diocesan Administrator of Antigonish. From his position as Apostolic Administrator of Antigonish, he resigned on 21 November 2009. Benedict XVI. appointed him on 7 December 2011 as the Archbishop of Halifax- Yarmouth.
