Anthony Pilkington

Anthony Neil James Pilkington ( born June 6, 1988 in Blackburn) is an English football player who is under contract with the English first division club Norwich City since 2011.

Stockport County (2006-2009)

After he had drawn attention to himself by numerous matches for the club unterklassigen Atherton Collieries, Anthony Pilkington changed on 23 December 2006 on the English fourth division Stockport County. After just missing out on a play-off participation in 2006/ 07, County reached in the 2007/ 08 season in fourth place and qualified in the subsequent play-off against Wycombe Wanderers and Rochdale AFC for the third league.

Huddersfield Town (2009-2011)

On 23 January 2009 it undertook the third division rival Huddersfield Town, with whom he finished the 2008/09 season in ninth place. In the Football League One 2009/10 the club from Huddersfield reached the sixth place play- offs, but lost in the first round against FC Millwall. The subsequent season brought with third place a further increase, in addition to Huddersfield sat in the first round of the playoffs against AFC Bournemouth by. However, the final match against Peterborough United lost 0-3. Anthony Pilkington (31 Spiele/10 goals) missed the final phase of the season due to a serious injury in March 2011. At the end of the season he was voted the third division due to its good performance in the PFA Team of the Year, he also received the award for player of the month October 2010, the League One.

Norwich City (2011 - )

After the rise again missed Pilkington signed on 6 July 2011, a three- year contract with the Premier League newly promoted Norwich City. His debut in the Premier League, he celebrated the first day of play in the 1-1 draw at Wigan Athletic.
