Anthony Vanden Borre

Anthony Vanden Borre ( born October 24, 1987 in Likasi, Zaire ) is a Belgian footballer. He is 185 cm tall and weighs 78 kg. Vanden Borre has both Belgian citizenship as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Club career

Vanden Borre is considered an extremely talented and is in season 2003/ 04 changed the age of 15 own of Anderlecht's youth to the professionals.

Since the 2007/ 08 season Vanden Borre plays for ACF Fiorentina, which he joined for a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros. He received a contract until 2012. On October 7, 2007, he was in the match against Juventus his debut when he came on in the 67th minute for Giampaolo Pazzini game. In January 2008, the Genoa bought 50% of his transfer rights, which is why Vanden Borre now aground for the Genoese. In return, joined Papa N'Diaye Waigo to Florence.

In August 2009, Vanden Borre was loaned to Portsmouth, where he was on 19 August 2009 under coach Paul Hart in the game against Birmingham City debut. The English club also had an option to purchase, which he did not moved.

Therefore Vanden Borre went to the 2010/ 11 back to Genoa, from where he moved directly to KRC Genk in which he signed a contract until 30 June 2012.


On 28 April 2004 Anthony Vanden Borre was against Turkey with 16 years as a substitute in the 90th minute his debut in the Belgian national team.

His first international match in the starting eleven, he graduated from then on 4 June 2005 against Serbia and Montenegro.
