ANTI-
ANTI- Records is an American independent record label and was founded in 1999 as a sub-label of Epitaph Records. Label boss is Andy Kaulkin. While Epitaph focuses on punk rock, the commitment of ANTI- wide is wide and ranges from hip hop ( Blackalicious ) to reggae ( Buju Banton ) and Country ( Merle Haggard ) to indie rock ( Elliott Smith). The label first came to attention in 1999 when Tom Waits made his Mule Variations on ANTI- distribute. Some other established artists changed in the aftermath of their major labels to ANTI-, including Marianne Faithfull and the rhythm and blues legend Solomon Burke and Bettye LaVette.
