Anti-Administration Party

Anti- Administration Party (1789-1792) was the unofficial name of a political group that spoke out against the policy of the U.S. Treasury Alexander Hamilton under the first President George Washington. It was with her to no organized party, but a loose political movement. Most followers of this fraction were also opponents of the new political order in the ratification of the Constitution of the United States as an anti- federalists. After Thomas Jefferson in 1792 took over the leadership of the opposition to Hamilton, the Anti- Administration Party developed for the Democratic-Republican Party.
