Antifibrinolytic

Antifibrinolytic agents act by inhibition of fibrinolysis in the blood, i.e., they cause a reduced degradation of the thrombus, and thus an increased clotting.

They are used therefore in an increased fibrinolysis in a strong fibrinolytic therapy and in case of complications during birth.
