Antimachus of Teos

Antimachus of Teos was an epic poet in ancient Greece.

His works are known only from two or three citations of later writers. According to Plutarch ( Romulus 12, 2) Antimachus have mentioned a solar eclipse, in the third year of the sixth Olympiad ( 754 BC) occurred. He would be about a contemporary of Homer and would belong to the earliest epic poets.
