Antiparos (Greek Αντίπαρος ( f sg ), transkr. Well Antiparos, ancient Greek oliaros Ωλίαρος ) is a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea, which belongs to the Cyclades group of islands. The name derives from the location of the island from ( andi-, opposite ', Paros, Paros '). Along with several uninhabited islets, including Despotiko and Strongyli, it forms a municipality in the South Aegean region.

The 35.090 km ² large island is separated from its big sister island of Paros by nearly 1.5 km wide strait; Antiparos is accessible by a 10 - to 15-minute ferry from the port Pounda or a 30 -minute boat connection (but only in the summer ) from the main town of Parikia the neighboring island of Paros. Highest elevation of about 12.5 km long and up to 5.5 km wide island is 300 m of the Prophet Elias.
