Antithesis

The term Antithesis (Greek: ἀντίθεσις antithésis, counter-assertion, sales, opposition ', from anti, against ' and Thesis, thesis ') generally refers to a counter- claim to an output assertion ( the thesis ). Two words, terms, phrases, or sentences are compared with each other, which contradict each other in mind.

Education Linguistically

In the linguistic sense, education is the antithesis a contrast or contradiction to a previously established theory; they do is aimed at the content of an output statement to refute.

Example:

" Thesis: The house is red.

Antithesis: The house is not red, because it is blue. "

" Thesis: Goethe died in 1805.

Antithesis: Goethe died in 1832. "
