Antje Gleichfeld

Antje dc field, born Braasch, ( born March 31, 1938 in Hamburg- Wellingsbüttel ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic athlete who was successful as a runner over 400 and 800 meters in the 1960s.

Career

Antje dc field grew after the Second World War with her two brothers as an orphan in the Hamburg district Wellingsbüttel to her father she lost during the war. As a six- year-old she began at VfL Wellingsbüttel sports. At twelve she moved to TSV Sasel, where she played as a middle runner field handball. Four years later joined the tall (1.78 m, 69 kg) athlete to athletics and joined the TuS Alster ( since 2002 with the SC Long Horn merged to SC Alstertal Long Horn ) to, for she started up her career end. Success as B- adolescents followed in the women's Hamburg Championship 1957 on 200 meters and the North German Championship in the 800 meters. After successful launches in German Waldlauf Championships over the medium-range, she won the first of many 1961 German Champion title under her birth name Braasch.
