Antoine Choueiri

Antoine Choueiri (* 1939, † March 9, 2010 in Beirut ) was a Lebanese media mogul.

Life

He was regarded as the architect of modern media industry in the Middle East. He founded the Antoine Choueiri Group. She has over 35 years of experience specifically with television and radio broadcasts.

His first advertising agency he founded in 1970 in Lebanon. During the Lebanese civil war, he set up his group or his business in Paris. In Saudi Arabia, he had his first office, before he went to Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates. Today the group has 11 offices and 14 countries offices, advertising in more than 30 television and radio stations, print media and billboards sells. He was a representative at Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation LBC Sat, Al Jazeera network, Al Hayat, Dubai Media Inc. and Al - Safir and An-Nahar.

He was president of the sports club La Sagesse, he was particularly interested in basketball. Choueiri was considered one of the most important businessmen in the Middle East. He died after a long illness (cancer) on March 9, 2010 in the hospital Hôtel- Dieu in Beirut. He was buried in Bsharri. He was married to Rose Salamé; the two children Pierre and Lena continued to run the company.
