Anton Georg Zwengauer

Anton Georg Zwengauer ( born June 12, 1850 in Munich, † January 18, 1928 in Munich) was a German painter. Zwengauer was the son of the landscape painter Anton Zwengauer. After his first art lessons from his father, he became a student at the Art Academy in his hometown. He attended this 1871-1874 and was, among other things Student of Arthur von Ramberg.

King Ludwig II of Bavaria summoned Zwengauer 1869 to his court painter.

At the personal request of Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria Zwengauer 1898 was entrusted with the management of the Schlossberg in Berg am Starnberger See. With this appointment, which was more symbolic to see Zwengauer was a steady income safe and he could easily pursue his artistic activity.

At the age of 77 years, Anton Georg Zwengauer died on January 18, 1928 in Munich.
