Anton Korolev

Anton Sergeyevich Korolev (Russian Антон Сергеевич Королев; born January 26, 1988 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Vityaz Chekhov of the Kontinental Hockey League since September 2012.

Career

Anton Korolev began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Spartak Moscow, for the second team, he was active in the third-class Perwaja League in the season 2005/ 06. He then played one and a half years for the first team of Neftjanik Leninogorsk in Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, and the third division Sokol Novocheboksarsk. During the season 2007/ 08 he moved attacker to SKA St. Petersburg, for whom he played eleven games in the Super League until the end of the season.

Since the 2008/ 09 season Korolev stands for the SKA St. Petersburg in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League on the ice. From 2009 to 2012, he played in parallel for its farm team Petersburg HK WMF Santa in Wysschaja League and its successor competition Wysschaja Hockey League and in the 2009/10 season in eight games for the boys team SKA -1946 Saint Petersburg in the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja league.

In September 2012, his contract was terminated with the SKA and Korolev joined Vityaz Chekhov.

Internationally

For Russia Korolev took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2008, where he won the bronze medal with his team.
