Anton Philips

Anton Frederik Philips ( born March 14, 1874October 7, 1951 ) was a Dutch business leaders.

As a senior partner in the firm Philips, he built this from the present corporate world. He was chosen by the Dutch, one of the largest Dutch.

Life

Anton Philips first attended grammar school in Zaltbommel, the trade school in Amsterdam ( not completed ) before to 1894 worked as a volunteer at financial companies in Amsterdam and London from 1892. Then in 1895 he joined as commercial director in the Philips Incandescent Lamp Factory & Co. ( from 1912: NV Philips ' Gloeilampenfabrieken ), which had founded his father Frederik and his brother Gerard in 1891 in Eindhoven. He was able to expand in 1922 as director of the small and medium-sized company to a global company through his extraordinary business skills. He received in 1928 in Rotterdam honorary doctorate in commercial science.
