Antonín Tučapský

Antonín Tučapský ( born March 27, 1928 in Opatovice (Czechoslovakia) ) is a Czech composer and conductor.

He studied in Brno and was from 1964 to 1972 conductor of the Moravian women's choir. After clashes with the Communist Party in 1975, he emigrated to Great Britain, and took a position as professor of composition at Trinity College of Music in London.

The work Antonín Tučapskýs be categorized only with difficulty. However, it remained always tonal.
