Antonino Rocca

Antonio Biasetton ( born April 23, 1928 in Treviso, Italy, † March 15, 1977 ), better known by his ring name Antonino Rocca, was an Argentine wrestler of Italian descent. He is especially true as the pioneer of high flying style. His greatest successes were the preservation of the NWA World Tag Team Title and the preservation of the WWWF International Heavyweight Champion title. In 1995 he was admitted posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Career

Originally wanted Biasetton a football career hit, but that dream had to give up due to injury. Rocco was trained by Stanislaus Zbyszko, who was the promoter in South America since the 30s and so became aware of Rocca. His debut Rocco with only 15 years in South America.

Rocco was a big "draw " in the New York scene, as he could attract many Italian-American fans in the arena by his lineage. Mostly Rocco was used in tag team matches with Miguel Perez Sr., who was also only 18 years old. Biasetton was never a big title holder, as the promoters were of the opinion that he would also untitled " over" enough. Shortly before the end of his career he was still working as a commentator before he died. In 1995, he was introduced into the WWE Hall of Fame.
