Antonio Fargas

Antonio Fargas ( born August 14, 1946 in New York ) is an American actor.

Life

Fargas grew up as one of eleven children, his mother was from Trinidad, his father from Puerto Rico. His first acting role in The Cool World, a drama about the hard life in Harlem. Fargas became best known for his numerous supporting roles in the most important blaxploitation films of the 1970s, including Shaft, A Case for Cleopatra Jones and Foxy Brown. In Car Wash - he played the freaky Launderette 1976, the main role, the transvestite Lindy. Familiarity with the viewers, he became known for his role as Huggy Bear in Starsky & Hutch series, which he played between 1975 and 1979 in 89 episodes. From 2005 to 2009 he played the store owner Doc in the series Everybody Hates Chris.

In 2004 he was one of the contestants in the fourth season of the British version of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! . His son Justin has been playing at the 2003 Oakland Raiders in the NFL.
