Antonio Molina (singer)

Antonio Molina ( born March 9, 1928, in Málaga, † 18 March 1992 Madrid) was a Spanish flamenco and copla Andaluza singer and actor.

Molina married Angela Tejedor, with whom he had eight children. Four of his children, Ángela, Miguel, and Mónica Molina Paula were actors. At the age of ten years, Antonio Molina already showed a great passion for singing. He became known through appearances on various radio broadcasts. His film career began in 1953 with hits such as El pescador de coplas (1953, director Antonio del Amo ), Esa es una voz volumes (1955, director Luis Lucia) and La hija de Juan Simón (1956, director Gonzalo Delgrás ). As a leading man, he played not only in films but also in the theater. He used his popularity many years by traveling around with their own music show. A few years after his retirement in 1986 he tried unsuccessfully a comeback.
