Antonio Muñoz Molina

Antonio Muñoz Molina (born 10 January 1956 in Úbeda, Andalusia ) is a Spanish writer.

Life

Muñoz Molina studied journalism and art history in Madrid, Granada. 1988 and 1992 he was awarded the Spanish National Prize for Literature ( Premio Nacional de Novela ) and 1991 for the novel The Polish rider the Premio Planeta, the most important Spanish literary prize. 1995 Muñoz Molina was in the Royal Academy of Language and Literature (Real Academia Española ) was added. For the year 2013, the Prince of Asturias Prize for Literature and the Jerusalem Prize was awarded.

Muñoz Molina currently lives in New York City, where he, the Instituto Cervantes ( Cervantes Institute) directed until 2006.
