Antonio Porta

Alejandro Antonio Porta Pernigotti ( born October 28, 1983 in Firmat, Santa Fe Province, Argentina) is an Argentine professional basketball player. It is used as a point guard and shooting guard, he is 1,90 m tall and 91 kg.

Professional career

Porta has played for Air Avellino in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A and in the Russian Super League.

Argentine national team

Porta is also part of the Argentine national team in basketball. His first try for the national team, he had 2005 on the occasion of the tournament at the Stankovic Cup, after which he took with the national team at the American Championships in 2005 and 2007 FIBA Americas Championship and the 2006, in part at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing 2008. In Beijing, he won with his team the bronze medal in the basketball tournament.

Antonio Porta has an older brother Sebastian, who also plays professional basketball in Argentina.
