Antonio Prohías

Antonio Prohias (* January 17, 1921, † 24 February 1998) was a Cuban- American cartoonist.

His most famous work is the series Spy & Spy, which appears in MAD magazine since 1961. Before fleeing to the U.S. in 1960, he was a prominent Cuban political cartoonist and president of the Cuban Association of Cartoonists. Prohias sat down to rest in 1990, but Spy & Spy appear - now drawn by Peter Kuper - still in MAD with a mention of him in Morse code. He died of cancer.
