Antonio Pucci (cardinal)

Antonio Pucci (* October 8, 1485 in Florence, † October 12, 1544 in Bagnoregio ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

As a participant in the Fifth Lateran Council, Pucci was 1517-1521 nuncio in Switzerland. He was from 1518 to 1541 (withdrawal) Bishop of Pistoia. From 1529 to 1541 was Pucci Bishop of Vannes. Since October 1, 1529 was Major Penitentiary. Pope Clement VII appointed Pucci on September 22, 1531 Cardinal with the titular church of Santi Quattro Coronati. On June 2, 1542 rose to Pope Paul III. the cardinal of the titular church of Santa Maria in Trastevere. He was bishop of the dioceses suburbicarian Albano ( 1542/43 ) and Sabina (1543 /44).
