Antonov A-11

The Antonov A-11 was a Soviet glider.

The built of metal mid-wing ( monocoque construction ) had as a special feature a V-tail. This and a part of the wing were covered with fabric, otherwise there was also the cladding metal. The chassis consists of a retractable main wheel and tail skid. Under the bow also is a runner. As flaps are camber flaps, beyond that spoilers are in the wings. To rub rails were on the wing tips. By changing the span of the result was Antonov A- 13th

The aircraft was certified for aerobatics and the instrumentation was enough to pierce clouds. The first flight took place on 12 May 1958.
