Antony Selvanayagam

Antony Selvanayagam ( born October 24, 1935 in Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia) is a Malaysian priest and Bishop of Penang.

Life

Antony Selvanayagam received on 20 December 1969, and was ordained priest incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Kuala Lumpur.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 6 March 1980 as Titular Bishop of Giru Mons and auxiliary bishop in Kuala Lumpur. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, Dominic Vendargon, on 1 September of the same year; Anthony Soter Fernandez were co-consecrators, Bishop of Penang, and James Chan Soon Cheong, Bishop of Malacca- Johor.

On 2 July 1983 he was appointed Bishop of Penang.
