Antti Ruuskanen

Antti Ruuskanen Hermanni (born 21 February 1984 in Pielavesi ) is a Finnish javelin thrower. London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist, he was in the javelin.

Career

2003 won Ruuskanen in Tampere, the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships. In 2005 he won the silver medal at the U-23 European Championships. At the World Athletics Championships 2009 Ruuskanen with 81.87 m in sixth second best behind Finn Tero Pitkämäki. At the European Championships 2010 in Barcelona Ruuskanen was as a substitute here. The starting positions were Teemu Wirkkala, Tero Pitkämäki and Harri Haatainen and Tero Järvenpää. The greatest success so far recorded Ruuskanen at the 2012 Olympics in London, when he won behind the surprise winner Keshorn Walcott from Trinidad and Tobago and the Ukrainian Oleksandr Pjatnyzja bronze.
