Antun Bauer (Archbishop)

Antun Bauer ( born February 11, 1856 in Breznica in Varazdin, Varazdin County, Empire Austria, † December 9, 1937 in Zagreb, Kingdom of Yugoslavia) was Archbishop of Zagreb. As a philosopher, Bauer critically dealt inter alia with the views Wilhelm Wundt.

Life

Antun Bauer, was ordained at the age of 23 years, in July of 1879 as a priest of the Archdiocese of Zagreb. From 1886 to 1890 he was editor of the newspaper Katolicki list. His appointments to Koadjutorerzbischof and Titular Archbishop of Pessinus took place on 20 January 1911. Episcopal consecration donated to him on January 29, 1911 Cardinal Secretary of State, Cardinal Rafael Merry del Val y Zulueta. Archbishop of Zagreb was Antun Bauer on April 26, 1914. Farmer was a total of 23 years, Archbishop of Zagreb.

Antun Bauer died on 9 December 1937 at the age of 81 years.
