Antun Bogetić

Anton Bogetic ( born April 24, 1922 in Premantura, Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes ) was a bishop in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Poreč - Pula.

Life

Anton Bogetic was born in the Istrian town Premantura. He attended high school in Koper. His philosophy studied at Bogetic in Rome. His ordination took place in Poreč on June 29, 1946. As a chaplain, he was in 1947 was from 1946 to 1947 in the parish of St. Lucy in Poreč from Labin, to the year 1950 as a parish priest in the Istrian Labin pastoral fields. Bogetic took over from 1950 to 1952 the role of the bishop in the Diocese of Poreč and Pula secretary. 1962 to 1967 he was commissioned to the Spiritual Director of the Seminary of Pazin. The duties of a vicar general in the Diocese of Poreč and Pula, Anton Bogetic took over from 1967 until 1980. As a Christian missionary he was four years old between 1980 and 1984 have been pastorally active in Argentina.

The appointment as Bishop of Poreč and Pula on 27 January 1984 the solemn episcopal ordination on 28 April 1984. After 61 years of pastoral work as a Roman Catholic priest and 23 years as bishop of Poreč and Pula, Bishop Anton Bogetic went on 18 November 1997 retirement.
