Anvers (Paris Métro)

Anvers is an underground station on Line 2 of the Paris Métro. It is located on the border of the 9th and 18th Arrondissement below the Boulevard de Rochechouart. For tourists it is the nearest metro station to visit the Sacré- Cœur. A to transfer to the funicular to Montmartre is close to the station. The name derives from the Belgian city of Antwerp.

The station was taken on October 7, 1902 in operation, as the portion of the line from Étoile (Charles de Gaulle today - Étoile ) 2 was opened to Antwerp. Until 31 January 1903, she was the eastern terminus of the line. Then the distance to the station Bagnolet (now Alexandre Dumas ) has been extended.
