Anyu Angelov

Anju Zaprjanow Angelov (also written Anyu Zapyanov Angelov, Bulgarian Аню Запрянов Ангелов; born December 22, 1942 in Haskovo, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian General of the Reserve, politicians in the party GERB and current defense minister of the country.

Life

Anju Angelov was born on 22 December 1942 in the city of Haskovo südbulgarische. Between 1992 and 1994, Angelov was Deputy Commander of the Bulgarian Army. From 1994 to 1997 he was deputy commander of the Bulgarian General Staff and in the period thereafter until 2000 military attaché in the United Kingdom. From 2000 to 2002 Angelov was director of the Bulgarian Military Academy " Georgi Sava Rakovsky ". After the victory of GERB party in the parliamentary elections of 2009 Angelov was first deputy defense minister under Nikolay Mladenov. Following a cabinet reshuffle in early 2010 and Foreign Minister Mladenov Angelov was incorporated on January 27 Minister of Defence.
