The Anzac Highway is a major road in the southwest of the city of Adelaide in the center of the Australian state of South Australia. It connects this seaside suburb of Glenelg to the city center.

The earlier than Bay Road known street was named in honor of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps ( ANZAC ) who had fought in the First World War in Europe, named. First was the street Adelaide Road, as it was the road connection from the first place of landing of the Governor to the proposed location of the to be established capital Adelaide.

On the highway, the bus lines 262, 263 and 265 in 15 -minute intervals.

Junction with South Road

The intersection with South Road (A13 ) was fundamentally redesigned as part of an initiative by the State Government for the reconstruction of South Road in a crossing-free north-south connection.

The South Road was passed under the Anzac Highway and connected with entrances and exits to the Anzac Highway. Construction began in October 2007, in March 2009, the underpass was finished and the end of 2009 the work was completed.

As befits the name " Anzac Highway" the underpass Gallipoli Underpass was called and at all entrances and exits memorabilia, were attached to the Australian soldiers who fought in the First World War.
