Aon hotVolleys Vienna

The hotVolleys (formerly Aon hotVolleys, also hotVolleys Vienna ) is an Austrian Volleyball Club, which is represented in the Austrian Volley League ( AVL).

With a total of 18 league titles and 13 Cup victories aon hotVolleys are the most successful team in the men's volleyball in Austria.

Team

During the playing season 2008/ 09 2 squad changes have already taken place. Marek Kardos (SVK, Aufspieler ) had, after a prolonged losing streak, leaving the team in November. Also leaving the team had the American Evan Patak ( diagonal attacker), who no longer fit into the price level of the organization due to non-compliance with financial commitments.

In addition, the current squad also forms a part of the official squad of the Austrian national volleyball team.

Season 2008/ 09

After a very positive start to the season MEVZA with 4 wins in a row, they fell in November for the first time in a veritable crisis. A 0:3 defeat at ACH Volley Bled represented the beginning of a long losing streak is where you among other things to the ore - rival Hypo Tirol and the national competitors SK Aich / Dob had to admit defeat.

In search of the causes of the poor form a cause was found relatively quickly. Later, the basic formation of the team was reconsidered in the season brought some changes. The new ground -up, however, brought back life into the team and slowly took back to its former strength. Especially Darko Antunovic was able to convince on the diagonal gripper position and the aon hotVolleys were able to celebrate victories back in the MEVZA.

This season, the Final Four of the Central European Volleyball League ( MEVZA ) in the Hall of aon hotVolleys, the Budocenter Vienna instead.

Beginning of the 2008/09 season was occupied with the Turks Erol User, a supposedly strong financial backers, the office of president. The promised millions in financial support for the aon hotVolleys but never arrived at the account of the Association. User who claimed 63 % stake in the Turkish top football club Fenerbahce keep, but noted in the course of the season as impostors out before he was suspended by manager Peter Kleinmann from his office. Later it became known that participation in Fenerbahce Istanbul was occupied by possibly forged documents, which brought users an indication of fraud.
