AOpen

AOpen is a major Taiwanese manufacturer of PC components and peripherals for computers.

Company

The company was founded in December 1996, the headquarters is located today in the Neihu District of Taipei in Taiwan, regional offices are in San Jose in the United States for Europe in Hertogenbosch (Netherlands ) Madrid (Spain ) and Moscow (Russia ) for Asia in Tokyo (Japan) and Shanghai (China) entertained. In Hong Kong, in China, there is also a production facility of AOpen, another in Zhongshan in Guangdong Province in the PRC. Products

The product range includes motherboards, optical drives, graphic cards, sound cards, input devices (such as mice), headsets and computer case in different designs with PC power supplies and CPU fans.

AOpen is known for its MoDT technology (" Mobile on Desktop "), which allows the use of Pentium M processors on desktop systems. Since the Pentium IV is very hot compared to the Pentium M, produced 2005/2006, many manufacturers desktop motherboards for the Pentium M.

Mini PC

One of the most famous MoDT AOpen AOpen Mini PC systems is a Mac mini similarly sighted computer that comes pre-loaded with Linspire. Critics call the Mini PC as a simple copy of the Mac mini, especially since the Mini PC came shortly after the Mac mini on the market. AOpen denied, however: " AOpen has already invested two years in the development and marketing of the MiniPCs. The Mini PC concept is far older than the Mac mini.
