Apache Muse

Apache Muse is an open source framework for the implementation of web service interfaces for manageable resources in Java. Apache Muse permits in accordance with the WS-* specifications standards-compliant implementation of these interfaces. This makes it possible to use platform independent resources on different host systems or to provide.

Apache Muse supports the following web service standards: WS- Addressing 1.0 and SOAP 1.2 for WS-* compliant communication, WS- Resource Framework 1.2 to implement stateful ( stateful ) web services, WS- Notification 1.3 to support event-driven programming ( "event driven programming " ), WS- metadata Exchange for communication of metadata ( eg WSDL and its policies) and WS- Distributed Management 1.1 to enable monitoring of resources from other services.

Applications which have been developed with Muse can be used in both Apache Axis2 and OSGi environments - Apache Muse contains some command line programs that can generate the appropriate artifacts for each environment.

Apache Muse applications can run on devices with limited functionality, since Apache Muse on the Java Platform, Micro Edition is ready to run.

Apache Muse is part of the Apache Web Services project.
