Apapa

Apapa is one of the 20 Local Government Areas ( LGA) of the Nigerian state of Lagos. It is the port area of ​​the city of Lagos.

Apapa Lagos is located west of Iceland on the opposite side of Lagos Harbour. The LGA has an area of ​​26.66 km ² and borders Ajeromi - Ifelodun, Surulere and Lagos Mainland. At the last census in the year 2006 222.986 inhabitants were counted, thus were 8,364 inhabitants in Apapa to a km ².

In Apapa is a container port of the Danish company AP Moller- Maersk worth over one billion U.S. dollars.
