History

The station was taken on May 15, 1876 in operation, as the section of the railway line Amsterdam - Zutphen, Zutphen between Amersfoort and was opened. The station was completely rebuilt between 2004 and 2008, until the station building, which was only a radical overhaul. Since it is possible to pass under the station through a tunnel, but this applies only to pedestrians and bicycles. By 2006, the station was the only one in Apeldoorn, which is rather unusual for a city with almost 140,000 inhabitants. We then decided to open the stations " Osseveld " on the railway line to Deventer and " De Maten " on the road to Zutphen.
