Apensen

Apensen ( Low German Obbens ) is a municipality in Lower Saxony in the south of the district of Stade, near Hamburg. The municipality is the administrative seat of the velvet municipality Apensen. The municipality Apensen also heard the place Grundoldendorf.

Geography

Neighboring communities

In the south, close to the two communities Beckendorf and Sauensiek. In the northeast, the municipality Apensen located in close proximity to the city of Buxtehude. To the west of the community it is in the community Harsefeld.

History

Place name

The place was named 1231 Abbenhusen 1236 Abbenhusen, 1704 and 1823 Abensen Apensen. The naming is done with the base word down German - husen, later German high -hausen, and the weakly inflected nicknames Abbo as determinative.

History

The village was named for the first time in the 13th century. In 1895, founded the firefighters - Apensen and 1897 the People's Bank. 1910, the church was built to Apensen. The local government reform in 1972 the place was a member of the Samtgemeinde Apensen.

Incorporations

On 1 July 1972, the small neighboring community Grundoldendorf was incorporated.

Community partnerships

Apensen maintains friendly relations since 1973 with the Breton Ploërmel in France, is with the since 1980 and an official partnership agreement. 1990 Places Dittmannsdorf and Witzschdorf in the community Gornau were included for the first time in Saxony. Since 2003, this partnership is strengthened by contract. Also Kolbuszowa in Poland is on friendly terms with Apensen.

Traffic

Apensen is connected to the east of the country road with 127 Buxtehude and the federal highway 73. The national road 130 leads south to Beckendorf and northward over Grundoldendorf after Nottensdorf. In addition, the county road 49 lead after Rusch Wedel and county road 71 after Nindorf. A northern bypass to relieve the center opened in 2008.

Sports

When TSV Apensen is basketball, football, table tennis, gymnastics and volleyball operated. The largest department forms of football with the first gentlemen in the district league Lüneburg, the second men in the first circle class and the 3 men in the 4th district league in the district of Stade. The youth department currently consists of 21 teams, including three girls' teams. The B youth team of TSV Apensen ascended into the game season 2007/2008 in the district league. Since the season 2009/2010 the club has a youth gaming community with the TUS Harsefeld ( JSG Apensen / Harsefeld ) in grades U12 to U19.
