Apex Aircraft

The Apex Group was a French holding company, which dealt with the construction of sports airplanes and their parts.

The group consists of the individual companies Centrair, Cap Industries, Apex Industries and the sales company Apex Aircraft, sells the planes of trade marks obtained in the group Robin and Alpha.

Apex took over in 1988 Avions Pierre Robin the business of the known Jodel aircraft. 1997 Avions Mudry the manufacturer came up with in the group. Robin was known primarily for his tow planes in Germany, some of which were also offered with Porsche aircraft engine.

In 2004, about 160 people were employed, which have an annual turnover of 20 million euros. About 60 aircraft were produced annually. Overall, the group supplied 4,000 aircraft worldwide with spare parts and services.

In the fall of 2008, the Apex Group filed for bankruptcy. The company was purchased by Robin CEAPR. The Canadian Department of the sales company Apex Aircraft still exists.
