Works

The Homilies 1-10 ( demonstrations ) contact the Federal sons and ascetic treat issues such as faith, fasting, prayer, repentance, humility, etc. The other homilies directed mostly against the numerous in the western Persian Empire Jews. He argues against the ideas of the season, circumcision, virginity of Mary and the divinity of Jesus. The gospel he quoted from the Diatessaron, Catholic Epistles and the Apocalypse are for him not part of the Bible.

Theology

What is remarkable about his work that he developed independently of the rampant in the Roman Empire a dispute with the teachings of Christ own Christology. Influences, such as the Council of Nicaea and its offshoots reached eastern Syria until over 100 years later. Apharahats Christology is highly oriented in the Old Testament Adam and see him as Jesus as perfect beings, and they were created directly by God. In Christ Aphraates recognizes the perfect man, because he has made to dwell in God as a temple. His character took place so that a metaphysical transformation to the perfection that was lost by Adam. In a life of asceticism and perfect devotion to God can emulate this perfection.
