Apollonius (crater)

Apollonius is an impact crater on the eastern edge of the lunar front side, northeast of the sine Successus and northwest of Mare Spumans, southwest of the crater Firmicus. The rim is heavily eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek mathematician Apollonius of Perga.
