Aponogeton capuronii

The Capurons Wasserähre ( Aponogeton capuronii ) is an amphibious plant from the family of water corn plants. The plant forms a tuber. The leaves are ribbon-like and curled at the edge and grow out of a rosette. The leaf surface is dark olive green. Your plant height is 30 to 50 centimeters. The plant has its natural distribution area in southeastern Madagascar. It grows in rivers with fast-flowing waters.

Hunting and

Unlike a number of water ears this plant is rarely offered commercially for planting in aquariums. The plant is considered very demanding. It requires soft, slightly acidic water. Permanent cultivation is up to now only the Botanical Garden in Munich succeeded.
