Apostolic Vicariate of Vientiane

The Apostolic Vicariate of Vientiane (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus Vientianensis ) is located in Laos Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Vientiane.

History

The Apostolic Vicariate of Vientiane was posted on June 14, 1938 by Pope Pius XI. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Prefecture Laos established as Apostolic Prefecture Vientiane e Luang Prabang. On March 13, 1952, the Apostolic Vientiane e Luang Prabang Prefecture was by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Est Sanctae Sedis in the Apostolic Vicariate and renamed Vicariate Apostolic Vientiane. The Apostolic Vicariate of Vientiane announced on March 1, 1963 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Vicariate of Luang Prabang.
