Apple corer
An apple corer, also called apple corer or Kerngehäuseentferner, is a small kitchen tool (approx. 15 cm long) with a round handle and a cylinder-like tool part ( " blade " ) that has a circular, jagged and sharp-edged end and a laterally open channel- shaped blade part features. It is commercially available in various forms and materials. The actual tool part is made of stainless steel or some day of a hard plastic material, while the handle previously mostly made of wood, and is today generally made of plastic.
The prongs make it possible to drill in the apple and remove the cores or the cores without major damage to the apple. The channel serves to receive the drilled parts of the apple, which can then be removed laterally.
